RB Leipzig have this morning confirmed the departure of Jesse Marsch, and Everton fans are eager for the club to appoint the American manager.
The east German giants confirmed on their official website that the former RB Salzburg boss had been dismissed by the club after a dreadful start to the season.
Leipzig are already out of the UEFA Champions League with the club also sitting at an atrocious 11th place in the Bundesliga table, with Marsch now out after joining in the summer.
Indeed, results and performances have been poor for Leipzig, but the Bundesliga side were badly hit in the summer transfer window. Star defenders Dayot Upamencano and Ibrahima Konate both left as did captain club Marcel Sabitzer.
Although Leipzig have a record of signing well in the market, Marsch was unable to maintain the standards set by previous coaches Ralf Rangnick and Julian Nagelsmann.
Yet despite a poor season, some Everton fans on social media are desperate for club owner Farhad Moshiri to make a move for Marsch, with Rafa Benitez’s job on the line at Goodison Park.

Indeed, the American manager will be a new approach for the Toffees, and alongside Marcel Brands, the duo could work well together on Merseyside, with Marsch previously showing with Salzburg his potential as a head coach.
And with Marsch now free to snap up, Everton fans on social media are pleading the club to appoint the former Leipzig boss.
Here’s what some Everton supporters had to say about the club appointing Marsch on Twitter…
