The Tottenham Hotspur youngster has played just a minute of football for Sheffield Wednesday in more than a month.

The on-loan Tottenham Hotspur midfielder, Josh Onomah, looks set for a return to Sheffield Wednesday’s starting XI at Swansea City this weekend.
Onomah has failed to start since the Owls’ 4-0 defeat at home to Norwich City at the start of November.
But with teammate Barry Bannan suspended for Wednesday’s next two matches, having picked up his 10th booking in just 20 Championship appearances against Rotherham United on Saturday, the Tottenham youngster seems the most likely beneficiary.
Onomah has made only six starts in Sheffield Wednesday colours, despite having made a bright start to his Hillsborough career in which he set up two goals in his first four outings.

But he was removed from the side, perhaps justifiably, after a nervy performance against Norwich, and has played just a minute of football since then, with a minor injury suffered while on international duty having failed to help matters.
And Wednesday’s next two games, against Swansea and Preston North End, could make or break the 21-year-old’s Owls spell.

According to the Sun on Sunday, Sheffield Wednesday have met with Steve Bruce, the manager who signed Onomah on loan at Aston Villa last season, about succeeding Jos Luhukay in the Hillsborough hotseat.
Can the on-loan Tottenham man win back his place in Bannan’s absence?
