Tottenham Hotspur defender is on loan at Sheffield United.

USA suffered a crushing defeat at Trinidad and Tobago this week as they were denied qualification for the 2018 World Cup.
Many supporters are calling for a radical overhaul as they look ahead to Qatar 2022, and this means a potential shot at prominence for Tottenham Hotspur’s talented defender Cameron Carter-Vickers.

The 19-year-old has captained the country at youth level and featured at the Under-20 World Cup this past summer.
American fans are calling for Carter-Vickers to be given a shot as they rebuild.
Last season Carter-Vickers did not progress at Spurs as he would have hoped, having been called into the first team squad at the end of the 2015/16 season.
In 2016/17 he made appearances in the cups, before an injury at the end of the campaign curtailed his season.
This summer his task to crack the first team was made tougher by Davinson Sanchez and Juan Foyth being signed, so he headed out on loan to Sheffield United.
So far he has made a positive early impression for the Blades, even scoring on his debut.
What the future holds at Tottenham is unclear, but his importance to his country is greater than ever, and so long as he keeps on playing at club level, his chance at international level will soon arrive.
