It’s been a while since Joe Rodon was seen in a Tottenham shirt.
The 23-year-old, who joined Spurs in the summer from Swansea, has not played for his side since their defeat to Brighton in January.
Ahead of Tottenham’s clash with Fulham today, Jose Mourinho was asked about the Welshman’s game time.
Mourinho insisted that Rodon has to ‘do nothing’ but be patient and his opportunities will come, as posted by Football London.
Given that Tottenham haven’t exactly been pulling up trees from a defensive department this season, Mourinho’s comments are frustrating them because they would like to see him given more of a chance.
What doesn’t help matters is that Rodon wasn’t named in Spurs’ Europa League squad, and given that they are out of the FA Cup also, it limits his game time even further.
Rodon has done more right than his Tottenham teammates have done wrong this season, so it’s unfair that his game time has been so limited.

Against Liverpool, up until he misjudged the flight of the ball which led to Sadio Mane’s goal, he was actually doing pretty well against the Premier League champions and Mane himself.
But it seems as though Mourinho sees otherwise, and whilst Spurs fans would like to see him feature against Fulham today, it’s perhaps likely that he may not even be on the bench.
Nonetheless, here is a selection of Spurs fans reacting to Mourinho’s comments about Rodon:
