Some Barnsley fans on social media have been reacting after Leeds were linked with a move for their former loanee Daryl Dike.
Dike spent the second half of last season on loan at Oakwell, and it’s fair to say he made quite the impression, scoring nine times as he helped fire the Reds to the Championship playoffs.
A number of Barnsley supporters had nothing but good things to say about him, with some comparing him to Romelu Lukaku and Harry Kane.
Inevitably, there were some fans who were sad to see Dike linked with a Yorkshire rival.
Interestingly, there was one common criticism of Dike, and that was his inconsistency, with one supporter even claiming that he’s about as much use as Joe Hart as a striker when he’s not on his game.
Dike certainly has the talent to make a splash in the Premier League, and with Leeds lacking depth behind Patrick Bamford up top, you can absolutely understand why they may be looking at this move.
