Liverpool defender Andy Robertson has posted on Adam Lallana’s Instagram and stated that he is ‘on fire’ after Brighton’s positive start to the season.
Two seasons after Liverpool parted ways with Lallana, the 33-year-old is thriving in the South Coast.
After their 2-1 win against Leicester City on Sunday, he posted this following message on Instagram, with Robertson responding in the comments section ‘on fire’, with Neco Williams simply responding with fire emojis.
At the start of the season, many expected both Manchester clubs, Liverpool and Chelsea to be sitting in the top four and fighting for the Premier League title.
But five games in, Brighton are spoiling the party.
Graham Potter’s men are sitting fourth in the table, on 12 points, one point behind the three joint-leaders, Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea.
It would be something if Brighton can keep this type of form up, but finishing in the European places shouldn’t be out of the picture.
As the season draws on, the four expected to push for the title will probably bridge a gap with themselves and others.
And there is no reason why the Seagulls shouldn’t aim to be the best of the rest because their early form suggests they are going to cause some serious damage this season.
Plus, with someone of Lallana’s experience in the middle of the park, with his injuries no longer being a problem, he is thriving for his side and his experience will be crucial to how far Brighton can perform this term.
