Former Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero bagged his first professional goal for FC Barcelona this weekend. And what an occasion to do it.

The striker came on in the second half against Real Madrid in one of the biggest matches in Europe. And despite playing just under 20 minutes, Aguero was able to score his first La Liga goal for Barcelona.

The City icon joined the La Liga giants this summer following the expiration of his contract. Yet injury problems have kept Aguero out of the Barcelona squad for some time.

However, the striker is now fully fit and seemingly in top form. Aguero’s goal for Barcelona was nothing but a consolation, though, as Madrid won El Clasico 2-1.

Indeed, despite Aguero’s first goal for Barcelona, problems at the club still persist. Ronald Koeman was met by angry supporters after last night’s loss as the Caltan side sit seventh in the standings.

As for City, their 4-1 win against Brighton and results elsewhere in the Premier League meant Pep Guardiola’s sit just two points off top spot in the English top-flight.
