Aston Villa fans have taken to Twitter to react after the club tweeted a screenshot of an Instagram conversation between Jack Grealish and Wesley.

The post shows the Brazilian striker telling Grealish that he can’t wait to play with him again, as he nears his return from a long-term injury.

Aston Villa’s No.10 then replies to his teammate, saying ‘same my brother’ when uploading a story to Instagram.

It’s nice to see the connection between Wesley and Grealish, and the Villa Park faithful are clearly happy to see the bromance between the two players.

In truth, it really is exciting to think about how the £22 million striker will fare on his return.

Before his injury, Wesley was playing in a much-inferior Aston Villa side in comparison to the current XI, with all due respect.

The additions of Matty Cash, Emiliano Martinez, Ross Barkley and Ollie Watkins have transformed the Villans – they look a completely different animal this term.

In our view, this could see Wesley handed more goalscoring chances.

Barkley and Cash in particular have added new dimensions to Smith’s side, and with Watkins also willing to do the dirty work and run the channels, the Brazilian striker could thrive in this new-look set-up.

It’s certainly a mouthwatering prospect to think about.

Let’s see what the Aston Villa fans on Twitter have been saying about the club’s tweet…
