Tottenham fans have taken to Twitter to react after Fabrizio Romano revealed that Daniel Levy has scheduled a meeting with Erik ten Hag.
Romano also mentions that the Ajax boss is open to leaving Amsterdam this summer, as Spurs continue their hunt for José Mourinho’s replacement.
The Italian journalist adds that nothing has been decided yet.
However, it is interesting to see that a direct meeting has been scheduled between the north Londoners and the Dutchman.
A number of Spurs fans seem overjoyed by this news.
One said that Romano’s update ‘excites’ them, and we’re not surprised.
Ten Hag has remarkably won 242 of his 385 games as a manager, which is an incredible record.
The 51-year-old averages 2.06 points per game, while he has secured 792 points during his managerial career, as Transfermarkt shows.

Additionally, Ten Hag has watched his teams score 883 goals in those 385 games, so he’s clearly an attack-minded manager.
His sides don’t seem to be the most solid, however. Ten Hag has seen his teams concede 424 goals in those 883 games.
In context, that isn’t awful, to be fair to him – it’s most likely a direct consequence of his attack-minded nature.
After Brendan Rodgers rejected two approaches from Levy – according to the Daily Mail – it seems Spurs have moved on to their next target.

Romano’s news comes after two other Tottenham targets in Julian Nagelsmann and Jesse Marsch joined Bayern Munich and RB Leipzig respectively.
In our view, Ten Hag would be a fine appointment, who could get Tottenham playing some wonderful football.
The Dutchman’s Ajax team are a joy to watch, and captured the imagination of nearly everyone around Europe with their displays en route to the Champions League semi-final in 2019.
Let’s see what the Tottenham fans on Twitter have been saying about Romano’s tweet…
