
After Georginio Wijnaldum posted a tweet about Virgil van Dijk, a number of Liverpool fans flocked to comment on the Dutchman’s post.
The tweet in question showed Wijnaldum on FaceTime with the colossal centre-back, after the Netherlands beat Gibraltar 7-0 on Tuesday.
Liverpool’s No.5 revealed in his caption that he was having a post-match debrief with Van Dijk, which was quite heartwarming to see.
Despite the £75 million man’s injury, it seems Wijnaldum is making an effort to keep him involved and make him feel like part of the team.
Hopefully, we can see the pair reunited on the pitch before the season comes to an end.
Liverpool posted footage of Van Dijk out running at the AXA Training Centre on YouTube last month, as he stepped up his recovery process.

It would be foolish to throw him back into the mix prematurely.
However, Jürgen Klopp will surely be tempted to get him involved in Liverpool’s Champions League campaign.
Should they beat Real Madrid in the quarter-finals, that is.

It’s been sad to see a player who is arguably Europe’s best in his position miss such a lengthy amount of time.
Let’s just hope he comes back just as formidable as he once was.
