Crystal Palace fans have taken to Twitter to react after hearing what James Ward-Prowse said about Wilfried Zaha on Southampton’s YouTube account.
After reaching 300 appearances for the Saints, the 4-cap England international was shown some of his most memorable moments.
Among some of his brilliant freekicks, the club also showed Ward-Prowse his clash with Zaha in January 2019, in the 1-1 draw at St Mary’s.
The 26-year-old laughed when the footage came on his screen.
The Saints were seemingly showing Ward-Prowse the clip as it was arguably the start of his ‘bad-boy’ act under Ralph Hasenhuttl, when he began to develop a spikiness to his game.

However, some Palace fans seem irritated by his reaction to the clash, as he sits there smirking throughout, appearing to take great joy in seeing just how annoyed he made Zaha.
Ward-Prowse says ‘oops, second yellow’ when he watches Andre Marriner dismiss the Ivorian, and aside from his goal, adds that it was a ‘memorable game’ for more reasons than one.

Zaha and Ward-Prowse continued to come to blows in fixtures after this 1-1 draw, so it’s no surprise to see Palace fans back their talisman when reacting angrily to the Saints maestro’s words.
Let’s see what they’ve been saying about the Portsmouth-born midfielder’s comments…
