West Ham fans have taken to Twitter to react after Tomáš Souček was spotted on BT Sport following Slavia Prague’s 2-0 win over Leicester last night.

The 25-year-old’s former side beat the Foxes to progress into the last 16 of the Europa League, thanks to goals from Lukáš Provod and Abdallah Sima.

After full-time, the players could be seen jumping around in celebration with one clearly FaceTiming somebody their iPhone.

After the cameras settled slightly, it turned out to be West Ham’s No.28, who left Slavia Prague for east London in a £19.1 million deal over the summer.

According to CBS Sports correspondent James Benge, Souček actually helped his former teammate prepare for their game against Brendan Rodgers’ side.

As tweeted by Benge, the midfielder told Slavia Prague to watch West Ham’s 3-0 win over Leicester as preparation for the Round of 32 clash.

Despite leaving them months ago now, it’s clear that Souček is a hugely popular player wherever he goes.

It’s rare to see a side phone up an ex-player of theirs after they’ve achieved something, so for the Czech Republic international to be at the forefront of their minds after such a big win speaks volumes.

We just feel sorry for Vladimír Coufal, who sadly did not receive a FaceTime call from his ex-teammates – not straight after full-time on the pitch, at least.

Let’s see how the West Ham fans reacted on Twitter after seeing Souček appear on their screens…
