Some Leeds United fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to speculation that head coach Marcelo Bielsa is close to signing a new contract.

According to La Nacion in Argentina, Bielsa is set to sign a new deal with Leeds and commit his long-term future to the Premier League club.

The report has added that the Argentine boss is close to putting pen to paper on a two-year contract.

The 65-year-old is out of contract at the Whites at the end of the season, and some Leeds fans are over the moon after hearing that he could stay beyond the summer of 2021.

Bielsa is a legend at Leeds. Having been put in charge of the first team in the summer of 2018, the Argentine guided the side to promotion to the Premier League at the end of last season.

Leeds have been superb in the Premier League and have been one of the most entertaining sides to watch in the English top flight.

The Whites have had some brilliant results, including a 2-1 win against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium in the Premier League on Saturday despite playing the entire second half with 10 men.
