Tottenham fans have taken to Twitter to react to comments found in the Evening Standard earlier today.

The quotes under the spotlight came from Mauricio Pochettino’s assistant Jesus Perez, in regards to Daniel Levy’s relationship with the Argentine.

He said: “Mauricio and Daniel still text each other and they have a very good relationship. We don’t have any bad feelings with Daniel. The other way around. It was a professional decision. At some point, we had to split but we will be back at Spurs for sure.”

In the Evening Standard‘s article, Perez revealed that he and the Paris Saint-Germain boss will be back at Spurs one day ‘for sure’ which has excited some fans.

Of course, Pochettino was a massive fan favourite in north London, and supporters were devastated when Levy sacked him.

However, Perez adds that Pochettino and Levy still keep in touch by texting, and have a very good relationship.

One heartwarming thing mentioned by Perez was that, when the trio used to get lunch together at Spurs, none of them would sort their food out until all had arrived at the table.

In our view, Pochettino has to go back to Tottenham one day.

The term ‘unfinished business’ couldn’t be more applicable in this situation.

The ex-Southampton boss built something special at Spurs, but was not allowed the chance to continue his project and crown it with some silverware.

However, judging by Perez’s comments, a return seems to be on the cards one day.

Let’s see what the Tottenham fans on Twitter have been saying about what they saw in the Evening Standard
