According to Sportime, reported Southampton, Leicester City and Burnley target Omar Elabdellaoui has verbally agreed a new three-year deal at Olympiacos.

The 44-capped Norway international is out of contract this summer.

SDNA claim Southampton, Leicester City and Burnley are all keen to sign him.

Fresh reports from Greece, however, say the Premier League trio are set to miss out.

Sportime claim after plenty of discussion that Elabdellaoui and Olympiacos have verbally agreed on a new three-year deal which will pocket the fullback around £2 million.

It will see Elabdellaoui extend his six-year stay in Olympiacos to 2023.

The former Manchester City man is 29. This will seemingly be his final big contract of his career, before he enters his twilight years.

Sportime reiterate there was interest from England. However, Premier League suitors couldn’t guarantee him game-time with the Norwegian keen to play.

Burnley are likely to look for a long-term replacement for Phil Bardsley this summer, with the 34-year-old’s future with the Clarets uncertain.

Leicester right-back Ricardo Pereira suffered an ACL injury earlier this year. The Foxes will want to provide adequate cover ahead of next season.

Southampton, on the other hand, have Kyle Walker-Peters on loan while Cedric Soares heads for an exit. The Saints must strengthen their options.
