Celtic midfielder Olivier Ntcham has told The Scottish Sun that he wants to face Paris Saint-Germain in the group stage of the Champions League this season.

The Scottish Premiership giants have progressed to the group stage of Europe’s premier club competition for the 2017-18 campaign.

Brendan Rodgers’s side will be in Pot 4 for the draw, which will take place on Thursday, according to The Daily Record, while French giants PSG will be in Pot 2, according to ESPN.

Ntcham has revealed that he would like to face the Ligue 1 outfit in the group stage of the Champions League this season.

The 21-year-old midfielder, who joined Celtic from Manchester City in the summer transfer window for a fee reported by BBC Sport to be worth £4.5 million, is a France Under-21 international and grew up in Paris, according to The Scottish Sun.

“I am from Paris so it would be special if we were drawn against PSG,” Ntcham told The Scottish Sun. “They are a huge team and they have some very famous players. It would be a special tie to play against them, not just for me personally.”

Playing against PSG would be a great occasion for Celtic, especially as the French giants signed Neymar from Barcelona in the summer transfer window and are aiming to win the Champions League this season.

The Brazil international forward is a world-class footballer, and it would be great for Celtic fans to have a blockbuster team such as PSG play at Celtic Park.
