Celtic new boy Olivier Ntcham opened up on his move to Glasgow.
Olivier Ntcham has revealed to The Daily Record that new Celtic team-mate Moussa Dembele was “so happy” to see him join the Parkhead club.
The 21-year-old sealed a £4.5 million move to Celtic this week from Manchester City.
The big midfielder and Dembele are both French and Ntcham claims that the pair have played together a lot prior to joining forces in Glasgow.
“Moussa tells me the club is great,” he told The Record. “He was so happy when I arrived at Celtic.
“We have played together a long time, since we were 15-16 years-old for France. I’m very happy to be here, it’s a new challenge for me.”
If Ntcham is anywhere near as influential for Celtic as his compatriot then Brendan Rodgers has pulled off another fine deal for the Hoops.
Dembele, a £500,000 signing from Fulham last summer, marked his first season in Scotland by scoring 30 goals and helping the Bhoys to a domestic treble.
Ntcham had a productive two-year loan stint at Italian side Genoa prior to swapping Man City for Celtic, and a spell in Italy’s top flight should stand him in good stead as he looks to take Scottish football by storm.
