Olivier Ntcham scored the only goal as Celtic claimed a 1-0 win over Partick Thistle on Friday night.
Olivier Ntcham has suggested to the Daily Record that he is optimistic that his winner in Celtic’s win over Partick Thistle will be the first of many, and insisted that there is no question that it was his goal.
The Hoops picked up their third consecutive win of the domestic campaign on Friday night, but it was certainly not as emphatic as their opening day victory over Hearts, and they were relying on a volley from their summer signing to bag the three points.

Ntcham’s strike in the 25th minute only went in however, after hitting Scott Brown on the way through. But the Frenchman insisted that his teammate has made no attempts to take the goal away from him, adding that he hopes to get on the scoresheet on a more regular basis in the future.
“It was definitely my goal. Scott didn’t try to claim it, he just touched the ball, but the ball was going in,” he said, as reported by the Record.
“I’m very happy, it’s a good feeling because it’s my first and I hope this is the first of many. Is that possible? Yes, because it is always my target to score goals and make assists.”
Based on the start that Ntcham has made to life at Parkhead, it would certainly not be a shock to see him contributing a considerable number of goals during the coming season.

The 21-year-old has settled extremely well, and has already been a contender for man of the match on a couple of occasions.
Having done so well so far, his challenge – apart from scoring more goals perhaps – may now be maintaining his excellent form once more is expected from him.
