Olivier Ntcham has admitted to The Record that he could leave Celtic this summer.

The French midfielder has struggled in a big way since Brendan Rodgers quit the Hoops in February, starting only a handful of games under new manager Neil Lennon.

Porto, Lyon and Marseille have all been linked to signing the 23-year-old [The Scottish Sun], who is valued at £12 million.

And Ntcham himself did little to dissuade potential suitors from making a move, admitting his affection for Marseille and claiming that a departure from Glasgow is possible.

He told The Record: “Yes, it’s very interesting. Marseille are a big club. A departure from Celtic is possible.”

Ntcham had a brilliant first season at Parkhead, but injuries and a lack of form saw him regress last term.

You can understand if he wanted to leave. After all, Lennon doesn’t appear to rate him that highly and if the likes of Marseille and Lyon are sniffing around, few would blame him for quitting.

Publicly admitting it, however, is another thing. It might weaken Celtic’s position if his suitors know that he wants to leave, but the Bhoys still hold a lot of cards given that the former Manchester City man is contracted until 2022.
