West Ham United have been linked with Chelsea’s Olivier Giroud.

Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud has been quoted by The Mirror as saying that he will be staying at Stamford Bridge and will not give up.
The Blues swooped to land Giroud from Arsenal in January, handing the Frenchman a move across London in an attempt to change his situation.
Giroud had found himself on the bench as a super-sub for Arsenal, and with Alvaro Morata inconsistent, he seemingly had a better chance to play at Chelsea.
However, Giroud has started just four league games for Chelsea this season, and whilst he has four assists in the Premier League this term, he hasn’t registered a goal.
The 32-year-old is on the bench behind Morata, and speculation about his future is already gearing up ahead of the January transfer window.
The Mirror recently reported that West Ham are looking to sign Giroud in January, having been long-term admirers of the Frenchman even from his time at Arsenal.

Giroud has now announced that he is going to stay at Chelsea and is not leaving in January, declaring that he won’t give up – even with suggestions that he needs to play in order to keep his place in the French national team.
“Would I have to consider a departure to keep my place in the national team? Today I am calm, happy with this World Cup title,” said Giroud. “I don’t need to put myself under more pressure than that. Of course, I am a competitor and I would like more playing time. But I am in a very big club, with very big players.”
“I am going to fight and for the moment, it is not a question about seeking a departure. I am going to stick in there and do not expect me to give up,” he added.
