Celtic fans could be forgiven for forgetting about Olivier Ntcham.

The French midfielder, a £4.5 million signing by Brendan Rodgers in 2017 [The Daily Mail], hasn’t kicked a ball for Celtic this calendar year due to injury.

But could Neil Lennon end that against Rangers next Sunday?

According to The Record, Ntcham came through 45 minutes of a bounce game for the Hoops on Friday, giving him a nine-day recovery period to make the Old Firm.

The 22-year-old really is a brilliant footballer and one who strengthens Celtic’s hopes of victory, if he plays.

If he doesn’t, Lennon still has a number of able midfielders to pick from, but Ntcham has that acceleration from midfield which has given the light Blues no end of problems in the past.

He might be the forgotten man of Parkhead, but by next week he might well remind everyone of his importance to this Celtic side.
