Olivier McBurnie says that Swansea’s 3-1 defeat against Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday night is a tough result to swallow.

Swansea City suffered a heart breaking 3-1 defeat against Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday night at the Liberty Stadium.
The Swans were cruising towards victory courtesy of Wayne Routledge’s early strike, but a late revival from Spurs saw them conceding three goals in a seven-minute spell.
Dele Alli restored parity in the 88th minute. Spurs took the lead through Heung-Min Son in the 90th minute, and Christian Eriksen added the icing on the cake with a stoppage time goal.
The result not only robbed them of three valuable points, but also saw Swansea dropping into the relegation zone. The Swans are 18th in the Premier League with 28 points, two points behind Hull City who won 4-2 against Middlesbrough.
Swansea striker, McBurnie, who came on for Jordan Ayew as a second-half substitute, says the defeat was hard to swallow.
The 20-year-old striker, who made his fifth Premier League appearance for the Swans, adds that the club must keep their heads up and return strongly in the next match.
“We have to stay positive. Tottenham are a side who are pushing for the Premier League title, so we knew they were going to be tough opposition,” said McBurnie, as quoted by the club’s official website.
“We will pick ourselves up as a team. It is our job to pull ourselves out of it and get out of this mess. It is tough being in the relegation places and we want to get out of it as quick as possible.
“The boys have put in a very good performance, but it is a tough result to swallow.”
Swansea City travel to London to face West Ham next. They have three home games left in their last seven matches, and must need to capitalize on them.
