Steven Gerrard’s Ibrox club Glasgow Rangers reportedly wanted Gers fan Oliver McBurnie from Swansea City in the summer transfer window.
Ibrox Stadium of Rangers
Swansea City striker Oliver McBurnie has revealed on Instagram that he hopes to play for Ibrox club Glasgow Rangers one day.
McBurnie, who is a boyhood Rangers fan as reported by The Daily Record, has also predicted – quite boldly – that Steven Gerrard’s Gers will win the Scottish Premiership title this season.
Rangers are fourth in the league table at the moment, eight points behind leaders Heart of Midlothian and four behind second-placed Celtic.
Summer link to Rangers
McBurnie was linked with a move to Rangers in the summer transfer window before he signed a new contract with Swansea in the Championship in England.
According to The Sun on Sunday (print edition, July 1, 2018), Rangers made a £4.5 million bid for the 22-year-old (click here to read more).

Given that the Scotland international is a Rangers fans and is quite open about playing for the Gers, it would not come as a surprise if he does end up at Ibrox next summer.
McBurnie is playing well for Swansea at the moment, and has scored six goals and provided two assists in 14 Championship starts for the Swans so far this season, according to WhoScored.
