Oliver Burke became Celtic’s first signing of the January transfer window, joining the Hoops on loan until the summer.

Burke became the Hoops’ first signing of the month when he arrived from West Brom on a loan deal that is set to run until the summer. It appears to be a big statement from the Bhoys.
Burke has struggled with the Baggies, but clearly has an enormous amount of talent and would have surely attracted plenty of offers this month once it became clear that he was available.
But the winger insisted that his conversation with Rodgers left him in no doubt that Celtic was the right place for him to go this month as he looks to get his career back on track.

“I spoke to the gaffer and instantly he had a massive influence on my coming here.”

Some Hoops supporters may have been slightly underwhelmed with the signing given his struggles with his parent club. But there is unquestionably the potential for the deal to turn into a masterstroke.
Rodgers has transformed several players during his time with Celtic. And Burke certainly has the attributes to become the latest player to benefit enormously from working with the Bhoys boss over the coming months.
