West Bromwich Albion winger Oliver Burke has made just two Premier League appearances to date.

Oliver Burke has admitted to the Express and Star that he’s had a ‘really frustrating’ start to life at West Bromwich Albion.

Burke was brought to the Hawthorns from Red Bull Leipzig during the summer transfer window for a fee of £15 million, but he is yet to make much of an impression.

Burke picked up an injury early on in his Baggies career, and is still trying to come back to full fitness.

The former Nottingham Forest man featured for West Brom in their Checkatrade Trophy tie against Coventry City, which they lost 2-1, as he aims to get his fitness back.

And Burke feels that he could be ready to play for Tony Pulis’ side after the international break.

He said: “It has been a rollercoaster start to my West Brom career so far. Being injured is really frustrating, I just want to be out there helping the team.

“I’ve obviously got my minutes under my belt now, I feel fit, ready to go, so I’m looking forward to helping the team. I’m geared up. The hamstring’s great, I feel back to my normal self.”

West Brom are likely to need Burke’s attacking quality when they return to competitive action, as the pressure is on.

Tony Pulis is facing growing calls for him to be sacked, with West Brom’s next match coming against Chelsea.

If Albion are unable to get past Antonio Conte’s side it could spell the end for Pulis at the Hawthorns.
