Nottingham Forest won against Newcastle United in the Championship on Friday evening.

Nottingham Forest chairman Fawaz Al-Hasawi has taken to social networking site Twitter to give his reaction to his side’s victory over Newcastle United on Friday evening.

Forest maintained their good run of form with a narrow 2-1 win against Newcastle at the City Ground in the Championship.

Matt Ritchie put the Magpies in the lead on the stroke of half time, but Nicklas Bendtner restored parity for the home team just seven minutes into the second half.

An own goal from Jamaal Lascelles four minutes from full time wrapped up a 2-1 victory for Forest.

It was a controversial game of football in which two Newcastle players were sent off. Jonjo Shelvey was dismissed in the 33rd minute, and Paul Dummett was sent off in first-half injury time.

Forest chairman Al-Hasawi has taken to Twitter to revel in the win for his team.

Oliver Burke has also taken to Twitter to express his delight at the Reds’ victory over Newcastle.

The 19-year-old Scotland international winger joined Bundesliga club RB Leipzig from Forest in the summer transfer window.
