West Bromwich Albion winger Oliver Burke has made just two Premier League appearances to date.
Burke signed for West Brom from Red Bull Leipzig during the summer transfer window, but he has not been able to show his quality so far.
Burke has made two Premier League appearances to date, due to a problematic hamstring injury.
And the former Nottingham Forest man has admitted that he has not enjoyed sitting on the sidelines.
“It’s obviously frustrating when you come to a new club and you are injured but it is life, it happens,” Burke said.
“You have to pick yourself up, keep your head up and be ready for when you are back.
“When given a chance and when I’m confident I am sure it will work out. I am just eager and ready to go. I just can’t wait to play.”
West Brom paid £15 million to sign Burke from Leipzig (Express and Star), and big things are expected of the youngster.
Burke was a star in the Championship, during his time with Forest, and he will offer the Baggies a new attacking outlet.
Burke could return to Tony Pulis’ side’s starting line-up at the weekend, when Albion take on Manchester City.
If West Brom could pull off an upset and beat Pep Guardiola’s side, they could move up as high eighth in the Premier League table.
