Oli McBurnie has celebrated Rangers’ Europa League victory on Twitter.

Steven Gerrard’s side moved top of Group G after beating Rapid Vienna 3-1 at Ibrox on Thursday night.

In addition to that, Rangers had to come from behind to do it, with Alfredo Morelos striking just before half time to cancel out the visitors’ earlier equaliser.

James Tavernier converted an 84th-minute penalty for the Gers, before Morelos added a third in the dying stages.

McBurnie is a lifelong Rangers supporter and here is how the Swansea City hitman – who was linked with a move to Ibrox this past summer – reacted to the victory.

Villarreal, whom the Blues drew with on matchday one, were held to a 3-3 draw away to Spartak Moscow, meaning that Gerrard’s troops are one point clear at the top of the group.

Considering Rangers were eliminated from Europa League qualifying at the first round last season, this is really quite a remarkable resurgence from the Scottish giants and what a difference a year makes.
