Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers announced Jermain Defoe’s deal today and Oli McBurnie is happy.

Oli McBurnie is clearly expecting big things after his boyhood club Rangers signed Jermain Defoe.
The Gers announced on their Twitter that they had signed the Premier League legend on an 18-month loan from Bournemouth.
The new Rangers hitman brings with him a wealth of experience and only the 162 goals in England’s top flight.
Steven Gerrard’s side are behind Premiership leaders Celtic on goal difference and there is every chance that Defoe might well be the difference between success and failure in regards to the title.
Well, McBurnie is certainly hoping that he is, after posting a gif of a ’55’ flag on Twitter, clearly in reference that the Blues’ 55th top-flight league crown is on the horizon.
Defoe, who is set to join up with his new team-mates in Tenerife for Rangers’ winter training camp, could make his debut on January 18 when Gerrard’s side visit Cowdenbeath in a Scottish Cup clash.
Could he fire the Blues to their 55th title? It’s certainly possible, though if Celtic also have a good window, which they most likely will, then that might negate the Defoe deal to some extent.
