Rangers have tied up their signing of the summer after finalising the signing of John Lundstram – a move Oli McBurnie absolutely loves.
The Gers had already brought in attacker Fashion Sakala on a free transfer from Belgian side Oostende, and have now gone back into the Bosman market.
This time it’s Lundstram heading to Ibrox, having allowed his Sheffield United contract toe expire last week.
The midfielder recorded five goals and five assists in 62 Premier League games, and leaves Bramall Lane having made 120 appearances for the Blades.
A boyhood Liverpool fan, it’s no great surprise that Lundstram wanted to sign for Steven Gerrard, and he now bolsters an already impressive engine room at Ibrox.
Lundstram will have to battle with the likes of Steven Davis, Ryan Jack, Scott Arfield, Glen Kamara and Nnamdi Ofoborh for midfield playing time, but he will be confident of making an impact.

One man well-placed to talk about Lundstram and Rangers is striker McBurnie, the boyhood Gets fan who played with Lundstram at Sheffield United.
McBurnie took to Twitter to react to the move, suggesting that he loves the move whilst raving about what a man and what a signing Lundstram is – and with the Daily Mail claiming Rangers want McBurnie in a big move this summer, the duo could yet reunite at Ibrox.
