Kyle Lafferty got off the mark for Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers on Sunday.

Kyle lafferty of Rangers celebrates winning over Celtic during the Co-operative Insurance Cup final between at Hampden Park on March 20, 2011 in Glasgow, Scotland.

Kyle Lafferty enjoyed a brilliant full debut on an otherwise disappointing afternoon for Rangers today.

The Gers were denied a hard-fought three points away to Motherwell when Peter Hartley grabbed a last-minute equaliser to cap a pulsating 3-3 draw at Fir Park.

Rangers had led 3-2 at the break after a double from the Northern Ireland international and another from Ovie Ejaria.

The 30-year-old left Hearts to join his former club on a two-year deal earlier this week.

And here’s how Scotland international and Rangers fan Oli McBurnie – the subject of a £4.5 million bid by the Blues in June [The Scotsman] – reacted to Lafferty’s brace.

McBurnie would’ve been an exceptional signing by the Blues, but it looks like Steven Gerrard has concluded his summer business as far as strikers go.

Gerrard also has Alfredo Morelos and Umar Sadiq in his ranks, but Lafferty, as proven today, will give the Glasgow giants an additional bit of firepower.
