Wolverhampton Wanderers, Newcastle United and Fulham reportedly want Oleksandr Zinchenko of Manchester City.

Oleksandr Zinchenko #35 of Manchester City chases the ball against the Borussia Dortmund during an International Champions Cup match at Soldier Field on July 20, 2018 in Chicago, Illinois.

Reported Wolverhampton Wanderers, Newcastle United and Fulham attacking midfielder Oleksandr Zinchenko has suggested to The Mirror that he wants to stay at Manchester City.

According to The Mirror, Wolves and Fulham are interested in signing Zinchenko from Premier League champions City in the summer transfer window.

It has been reported that the Citizens have accepted the Wanderers’ £16 million bid for 21-year-old, who can also operate as a wing-back.

The Daily Star has credited Rafael Benitez’s Newcastle with interest in the Okra international, but Zinchenko wants to stay at City.

Zinchenko told The Mirror: “To be honest, I think Manchester City is one of the best teams in the world right now. Everyone dreams of playing here, and that goes for me as well.

“I try to learn every single day and I’m going to fight here. I’m ready for everything because I have to be professional.

“You don’t know what can happen in the future, but I’m dreaming of staying here. Everyone wants to be part of this team.”

Manchester City stay

Although it is going to be hard for Zinchenko to establish himself in the City team next season, it would make sense for the Ukraine international to fight for his place.

After all, City boss Pep Guardiola is one of the best managers in the world, and working with him is only going to help the 21-year-old – who earns £20,000 per week as salary, according to Spotrac.com – get better.
