It has not taken long for a highly anticipated UFC signing to be booked for his debut inside the Octagon.

In early 2025, Oleksandr Usyk urged the UFC to sign his training partner, predicting he would become a world champion in the organisation.

That fighter was former Bellator welterweight champion Yaroslav Amosov.

Usyk’s call was answered earlier this month when news broke that Amosov had signed with the UFC.

The promotion did not waste time, either. According to reports, the 32-year-old is set to make his first appearance at the final event of 2025.

Usyk hailed Amosov after his submission win in March, which ended a long stretch away from the cage.

His previous fight was a defeat to Jason Jackson in November 2023, which cost him both his unbeaten 27-0 record and the Bellator welterweight belt.

Amosov had taken time out from fighting in 2022 to defend Ukraine, following in the footsteps of Usyk and Vasiliy Lomachenko.

According to Best Fight Picks, with other outlets confirming it later, the UFC has scheduled Amosov’s debut for December at UFC Vegas 112.

The event will feature Brandon Royval vs Manel Kape as its main event. Amosov is set to face off against Neil Magny, a well-known figure within the division.

Magny holds the record for most wins in UFC welterweight history and has often been matched up against up-and-coming fighters, many of whom he has managed to beat.

This year, he has come back strong from last year’s defeats to Michael Morales and Carlos Prates by finishing both Elizeu Zaleski dos Santos and Jake Matthews.

Stepping in on short notice for UFC Qatar, Waldo Cortes-Acosta secured his second knockout of November, defeating Shamil Gaziev.

After five bouts already this year, ‘Salsa Boy’ did not waste any time making his intentions clear during his post-fight interview.

“I want to finish this year with one more fight. This is too quick. I want to fight next month, December 13th.”

With the reported addition of Yaroslav Amosov vs Neil Magny, here is how the UFC Vegas 112 card is shaping up:
