Rangers have reportedly failed with a bid to bring George Edmundson to Ibrox.

Rangers may have already tied up three summer signings, but their work isn’t done there, with Steven Gerrard needing more new faces at Ibrox.
The Gers have landed Steven Davis, Jordan Jones and Jake Hastie on pre-contract agreements, and Gerrard must now turn his attention to his defence.
Gerrard has two impressive centre backs in Connor Goldson and Nikola Katic, but loanee Joe Worrall is returning to Nottingham Forest, and out-of-contract Gareth McAuley won’t be kept.
That means two new centre backs will be needed, and a youngster to replace Worrall would be a smart idea, with Oldham’s George Edmundson a top target.
The 21-year-old has emerged as a defender Gerrard wants, but the Daily Mail report that a first Rangers bid has been rejected by Oldham, who now want more than the initial £450,000 they were demanding.
Edmundson has impressed for Oldham this season, with the 6ft 3in defender racking up more than 50 appearances, sparking interest from Rangers and a number of other clubs.

Oldham fans have now taken to Twitter to react, with some feeling that it’s great to see the club standing firm, believing that Edmundson is worth £1million and Oldham should hold out for more money.
Others believe that Oldham simply need to take the cash given that Edmundson has just a year left on his contract, and believe that the Rangers bid was more than what Edmundson is worth anyway, with one fan admitting he’d drive him to Ibrox.
