Patrice Evra stated on Sky Sports PL (22/11/20 at 8:05 pm) that Andy Robertson has been ‘really consistent’ for Liverpool ‘for so many years’.
On Sunday evening, Robertson provided an assist for Liverpool during their win against Leicester City and Evra was discussing how much he ‘loved it’.
Whilst Evra thrived on the left flank during his days at Old Trafford, his counterpart is doing the same at Anfield and building his legacy as one of the greats of the modern era.
Despite playing for a rival club, Evra praised the Scotsman, and in his own unique way, compared his delivery for Jota’s goal to ‘caviar’.
“Ohhh, I love it,” said Evra. “I think Robertson for so many years has been really consistent.
“Even if I feel there that Albrighton is being too quick [to try and challenge Robertson]. But what a delivery. I call it caviar. Voila!”
It has been some journey for Robertson, who at the start of the last decade, was posting on social media about how difficult it was being broke.
Well, he won’t have such worries now because the boyhood Celtic fan has worked his way from the Scottish leagues to the highs of being a European champion.
Robertson has also played a major part in Scotland ending their 22-year wait of reaching a major tournament because those up north will be locking horns with their old enemy at the delayed Euro’s next summer.
