Jamie O’Hara has lauded Tottenham striker, Harry Kane, as a ’sensational football player’.

The former midfielder was reacting to Kane scoring his 49th goal for England on Saturday, as they beat Switzerland 2-1 during their friendly encounter at Wembley.

The Tottenham hitman moved passed Gary Lineker in the England goalscoring charts and level-second with World Cup winner, Sir Bobby Charlton.

It has been some rise for Kane, who is breaking near on every individual record that is being put in front of him.

O’Hara shared that Kane wasn’t someone who was naturally gifted as a youngster, but he has worked hard on his game, week in and week out to reach such a level, as he told Sky Sports News.

“It’s another one chalked off that record,” said O’Hara. “I wouldn’t surprise me if he gets it (by the end of the year).

“He deserves it. He is an unbelievable goalscorer. He is the talisman for England and a sensational football player.

“What a player. You wouldn’t say he was naturally gifted when he first came on the scene. But he has worked so hard on his game, every single day, week in and week out.

“And he has just gone to another level now.”

Kane is four goals behind Wayne Rooney’s all-time England record and that’s before he can turn 29.

Unless something ridiculous happens, he should break that record this year.

Not only that, with UEFA Nations League games to be played before the Qatar World Cup in November, he might even do it before then.

It would be fitting if it happens at the World Cup itself, but either way, Rooney’s record is close to being broken and, from then on, it will probably be smashed.
