Arsenal fans have been left delighted after Mikel Arteta suggested that their transfer plans have not changed despite a recent up-turn in form.
Arsenal have won back-to-back games to move up the table in recent days.
However, with the January transfer window on the horizon, Arteta is under no illusions that work still needs to be done to his squad.
“The last few results won’t change our approach to the window. and obviously we can’t talk about any individual players,” he said to Football London.
The comments have gone down well with Arsenal fans, who are now excited to see who the club could bring in over the coming weeks.
Even after Arsenal’s last two victories they remain in the bottom half, and that is a clear indication that plenty of work still needs to be done before they are ready to compete at the top level again.
Arsenal surely will have an attacking midfielder right at the top of their wishlist in January, but a striker, central defender and a right-back could also be purchased.
Arteta’s men have recently been linked with the likes of Isco (Telegraph) and Diego Costa (AS), as the transfer window gets closer opening again.
