Liverpool fans are concerned that Crystal Palace may now have extra incentive to beat them on the final day, after Roy Hodgson announced his departure today.
Hodgson confirmed that he would be stepping down from his job at Palace at the end of the season, which puts added meaning on the Eagles’ last two games.
Liverpool may have been expecting a cruise to the end of the season – as they face Burnley and Palace, who have little to play for in terms of league position.
However, Hodgson’s departure now gives Palace plenty of motivation to try and beat them.
And Liverpool fans fear that their game at the weekend has just got a lot tougher.
