Arsenal fans have reacted on Twitter to Aaron Ramsdale giving away his boots and jersey to a young fan after their win at Leicester City.
On Saturday, Ramsdale perhaps produced the best performance of his Arsenal career, so far, when he helped his side beat Brendan Rodgers side 2-0 at the King Power Stadium.
There were scenes of utter jubilation at full-time, as Mikel Arteta’s side maintained their unbeaten run, secured another three points and climbed up the table.
After the match, Ramsdale handed his goalkeeping top and his football boots to a young fan that will remember that afternoon for the rest of his life.
It was a classy touch from the 23-year-old, who within a few months of being in North London, is already becoming a fan favourite.
The Arsenal faithful loved Ramsdale’s actions and spoke about his infectious character.
Before Ramsdale arrived at the club, there was a lot of fans doubting whether he was the right man for the job, both inside and outside of the club.
Well, he is already proving his big-money transfer fee and shutting those doubters up.
There are 28 games of the season remaining and Ramsdale has probably already produced the save of the season.
His cat-like reflexes kept out James Maddison’s near-top-bins free-kick, which was lauded by supporters across the country, including one of the greatest keepers of all-time in Peter Schmeichel, as he reacted on Twitter during yesterday’s game.
