Tottenham fans have taken to Twitter to react after the club released the new third kit, created by Nike.

What’s the story?

We may already be well into the 2021/22 campaign, although Spurs have only just revealed their third strip.

In our view, it’s horrible.

In similar style to the crazy away shirt, Tottenham have again adapted a blend of many different colours, which creates a bit of an eyesore.

There’s purple, green and black, all mashed together in a far from cohesive style – it’s safe to say the Spurs fans on Twitter don’t like it.

We’re not quite sure why clubs can’t just opt for one colour nowadays.

In modern football, we’re seeing more and more wild, laser-printed editions which look like something you can design on FIFA – we hope it’s not here to stay.

Just look at Barcelona’s latest third shirt – it’s basically the same colour scheme as the home kit too!

Tottenham must read the room

It’s been quite a week for Tottenham’s social media – whoever is running the account really hasn’t read the room too much.

Firstly, there was a tweet of Wilfried Zaha laying at the feet of Emerson at Selhurst Park, to commemorate his debut.

It made it look like the Brazilian had pocketed the Ivorian, when in actual fact, he was given a torrid time on his debut.

Then, Spurs spent a whole day tweeting videos of Christian Eriksen’s best moments, at a time where Nuno Espirito Santo is severely lacking someone of the Dane’s quality.

Brighton’s Robert Sanchez – who is a goalkeeper – has created as many clear-cut goalscoring chances as Spurs have in the Premier League this term (WhoScored).

Of course, social media posts have to go out, but not ones which infuriate fans even more.

For now, let’s see what the Tottenham fans on Twitter have been saying about the new third kit…
