Jamie O’Hara told Sky Sports News (28/08/21 at 1:20 pm) that he doesn’t think Daniel Levy will sell Tottenham striker Harry Kane in January.
After Kane announced on Twitter that he is staying at Tottenham this summer, it was suggested to O’Hara that this saga might just re-ignite itself in the winter.
Kane received a warm reception from the Spurs fans when he came onto the field against Wolves over the weekend.
And now he might just be in line to play or even start in the Europa Conference League on Thursday night, or if not, against Watford on Sunday.
But given what Kane has said and what Daniel Levy is in the boardroom then O’Hara made it clear that such a scenario won’t happen.
“Oh no, not in January,” said O’Hara. “Let’s just leave it at that. For God’s sake.
“People are always going to be after him. He has time left on his deal. He said that he is committed to the club.
“I don’t think Daniel Levy will sell Kane in January. I think he will be at the club for the season.”
This is music to the ears of Tottenham supporters, players and their new manager, Nuno Espirito Santo.
Given that Nuno wasn’t even the first choice at Tottenham, he walked into quite a mess in North London and it was seemingly an even bigger mess when he started to warm his seat.
One of them being Kane not turning up to training in time and the saga around all of that.
But Nuno has stayed firm, showcased great man-management skills and handled this situation like a pro.
There’s no doubt that he is one of the big winners of this whole situation and his reputation has perhaps grown with the supporters.
