Leeds United fans have been left hugely concerned after seeing an image of Kalvin Phillips limping off after full-time at St. Mary’s, after their 2-0 victory.
Phillips started for Leeds on the South Coast, but was taken off at half-time in the contest.
Adam Pope then went on to share an image of Phillips exiting the stadium with a limp.
And that has caused concern among Leeds supporters, who are desperate for the midfielder to avoid injury.
In truth Leeds fans’ concerns are likely not to be over their own season.
Leeds have just one game left and they have already surpassed expectations this term.
Marcelo Bielsa’s side are now up to eighth in the Premier League table, and are finishing the season very strongly.
But there has to be some worry about Phillips over the European Championships now.
The Leeds man has performed so well that he now looks an almost certain pick for Gareth Southgate’s squad if he can avoid injury.
But the latest image is hugely concerning ahead of the international tournament, and Leeds fans will hope that positive news emerges in the coming days, which suggests that any issue isn’t severe.
