Liverpool fans have been left worried about Mohamed Salah’s latest comments on his future to Marca.
Salah’s future has been speculated about in recent times, and the Egyptian has done little to quash the rumours that he could depart Anfield.
Salah has made a number of public statements, which haven’t particularly emphatically committed his future to Liverpool.
And his latest interview with Marca has caused some concern among Reds fans.
He said, when asked if it’s time to move on: “It is not up to me. We’ll see what happens but I prefer not to talk about that now.”
And those comments have been enough to cause Liverpool concern that Salah will leave sooner rather than later.
If any buying club does bid for Salah then this summer could be the ideal time.
Liverpool’s status as a Champions League club is far from secure, and the financial hit from missing out on Europe’s top competition could make the Reds’ bargaining position weaker.
However, Liverpool will surely be desperate to keep hold of their chief goalscorer.
And any buying club would have to pay huge money to even get Jurgen Klopp’s side to consider selling the winger.
