Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to react after Olympiacos forward Bruma revealed what Sokratis has been saying ahead of tomorrow’s game.
In an interview with Goal, the winger said that the 90-cap Greece international has been sharing some inside information with the Olympiacos squad.
Bruma said: “He has told us some secrets, but I won’t tell you about any of them. It’s between us and Sokratis.
“Of course, he knows Arsenal’s locker room better than anyone.”
As you will know, it was only a matter of weeks ago that the centre-back left north London to return to his native Greece, as Mikel Arteta wielded the axe on him, Sead Kolasinac and Shkodran Mustafi.
However, fate has been cruel to the Gunners, as Sokratis just happened to join their Europa League Round of 16 opponents.
Perhaps allowing the former Borussia Dortmund man to leave will now bite Arteta on the backside if his secrets help Olympiacos win the tie.
We wouldn’t be that concerned if Sokratis had left the Emirates a season or two ago before this clash.
However, he only left in January, so he will be aware of what tactics Arteta has been using this season, and will be able to provide up-to-date information to his current employers.
Regardless of that, Arsenal should still have enough individual firepower to overcome the Greek giants.
