Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to react after some 21-second footage of a pass from Thiago Alcântara emerged following the 2-0 win over RB Leipzig.
The video in question shows Liverpool’s No.6 leaping acrobatically to meet a bouncing ball, before almost karate kicking it in Mohamed Salah’s direction.
The pass was inch perfect, and set the Egypt international through on goal in the 22nd minute of the tie.
Sadly, Péter Gulácsi managed to save his effort, robbing Thiago of what would’ve been a quite sumptuous assist against Julian Nagelsmann’s men.
Sadio Mane even had a chance to follow up Salah’s miss.
However, he bizarrely went to head the bouncing ball instead of putting his foot through it, and ended up failing to make contact.
Nevertheless, let’s appreciate the exquisite through ball from Thiago, regardless of the fact it didn’t lead to the goal it deserved.
The Spain international seemed to have his best game in weeks as Fabinho was finally able to join him in midfield.
With the Brazilian getting stuck in and doing the dirty work, Thiago was allowed to focus on being the creative genius that most football fans know him to be.
