Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to react after Harvey Elliott scored a truly wonderful goal for Blackburn earlier today.
The 18-year-old netted a Lionel Messi-esque dink to put Blackburn 4-2 up against Birmingham at Ewood Park.
You can see the seven-second footage of his delicate finish below.
Tony Mowbray’s side went on to win 5-2, in what was the final game of Elliott’s loan spell at Blackburn.
It’s safe to say he did pretty well at Ewood Park.
In 41 Championship appearances this term, Elliott scored seven goals and recorded 11 assists, which is fantastic for such a young forward.
Interestingly, that is better than any campaign Jack Grealish ever had in the Championship.

That isn’t a criticism of the Aston Villa captain.
We merely felt it would be a good metric to use in order to gain an understanding of just how exquisite Elliott has been this season.
Just look at the player Grealish is now.
If Elliott can become anywhere near as good as the England international, then Liverpool will be overjoyed.

It really is scary to think about how good the teenager can become.
If he’s already doing this at his age, then how many goals and assists will he be recording in two or three years? His potential is astounding.
Let’s see what the Liverpool fans on Twitter have been saying about Elliott’s delightful chip…
