Wolves fans have taken to Twitter to react after the Club announced that Max Kilman had signed a new five-year contract at Molineux.

What’s the story?

Well, this is more than deserved for Kilman, who has shone for Wolves this season.

The 24-year-old – who used to play Futsal, if Sky Sports hadn’t mentioned it enough – has blossomed since Bruno Lage replace Nuno Espirito Santo.

Kilman has started all ten Premier League games this season, playing every single minute under Lage and to great effect.

The Englishman scored his first Premier League goal last time out against Everton, and has helped Wolves keep two clean sheets.

Impressively, they have only conceded ten goals in those ten games with Kilman at the back.

Interestingly, Kilman is the only player to start every game under Lage.

For whatever reason, Kilman just couldn’t maintain any consistency under Nuno while usually playing on the left side of defence.

However, Lage has now shifted him over to the right, which seems to have had a fantastic impact on the Wolves No.23.

That is quite the surprise, as you would expect Kilman to prefer the left sided centre-back role, seeing as he’s left-footed.

It’s testament to Lage’s coaching skills that he recognised Kilman’s talent, and adapted his position to get the best from him.

Hopefully, the blossoming £15,000-a-week defender will continue to get better and better under Lage across these next five years.

For now, let’s see what the Wolves fans on Twitter have been saying about the news…
