Clinton Morrison has praised Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak for his role in the goal that Jacob Murphy scored against Sean Dyche’s Everton at Goodison Park in the Premier League on Thursday evening.
The former Crystal Palace forward has said on BBC Sport that he was hugely impressed by the 23-year-old Newcastle striker for the piece of skill that he showed.
Murphy scored Newcastle’s fourth goal of the match on 81 minutes.
It was substitute Isak who did most of the hard work.
The £120,000-a-week (SalarySport) Sweden international striker skipped challenges along the byline before flicking to the unmarked Murphy, who smashed in at the back post.
And Morrison was impressed.
Praise for Newcastle United Alexander Isak v Everton
Morrison said: “Oh my gosh. The skill from Isak – he’s got five or six bodies around him, he takes it to the byline and Murphy is there to tap it in.”

HITC Verdict: Growing in importance
In our view, Alexander Isak is one of the best young players in the Premier League and is doing extremely well for Newcastle United.
The striker is fully fit now and is scoring important goals.
The youngster has made 11 starts and five substitute appearances in the Premier League for Newcastle this season.
Isak has scored 10 goals in those games.
Newcastle are now in a very good position to end up in the top four of the Premier League table this season.
