Giovani Lo Celso has suffered another injury setback and it has left a number of Tottenham fans frustrated.
A number of Spurs fans were hoping the quick-footed playmaker was going to be available for today’s Europa League clash against Dinamo Zagreb, but it’s not going to be the case after the news from Hotspur Way.
Lo Celso hasn’t played for Tottenham since December because of a hamstring injury.
And whilst Jose Mourinho confirmed that he hasn’t suffered a reoccurrence of that injury, he did state that it’s ‘a bit of back pain’ which is keeping him out, as quoted by the Evening Standard.
Tottenham supporters are annoyed because they think they haven’t seen as much of the big-money signing as they would have liked.
Constant setbacks aren’t helping his cause, but his creative spark and ability to pick pockets will only add much-needed depth to this Tottenham side.
But he needs to be available in order for that to happen.
Whilst this is a huge ten days for Spurs – Europa League knockout matches and the North London derby – they have enough to come through that storm.
Harry Kane is being Harry Kane, whilst Gareth Bale is now showcasing his old self, not forgetting the added mix of the underrated Heung-Min Son.
