Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter in reaction to Ibrahima Konaté’s tweet, following RB Leipzig’s 3-2 Champions League win over Manchester United.
The Frenchman – who Bild believe is a target for Jurgen Klopp – posted nothing more than an ellipsis when responding to some footage involving himself and Mason Greenwood.
The clip shows Konaté knocking the Red Devils forward over inside the box, which led to a penalty being awarded – softly, in our view.
A Liverpool supporter posted the footage, saying that if Mohamed Salah or Sadio Mane had gone over as easily as Greenwood, the media would’ve been all over it.
When Konaté quoted that tweet along with his brief caption, a number of Liverpool fans on Twitter reacted. Unsurprisingly so, seeing as the 21-year-old is said to be on Klopp’s list of targets.

Despite Bruno Fernandes netting the resulting spot-kick, and an own goal from Konaté making RB Leipzig sweat, the Germans eventually managed to knock Liverpool’s rivals out of the Champions League.
If Klopp was to sign the centre-back, it doesn’t seem as if he’ll come cheap.

According to Sport Bild, the RB Leipzig No.6 has a €50 million (£45 million) release clause in his contract.
Let’s see what the Anfield faithful on Twitter were saying to the Paris-born defender…
